Chapters
Of the AMC’s 11 chapters, Boston is the largest with over 20,000 members. The chapter is run by volunteers who organize thousands of outings covering a wide range of activities throughout New England. View Boston Chapter website.

The Maine Chapter of the AMC was founded in 1956 as the Portland chapter. Today, the Chapter has more than 5,300 members and is active throughout the state of Maine. It advocates strong conservation efforts within Maine and offers its members a full range of programs and activities. View Maine Chapter website.

The New Hampshire Chapter began as the Merrimack Valley Chapter. We’re the second-largest AMC chapter with over 14,000 members. Our well-trained and dedicated volunteer chapter trip leaders offer hundreds of trips and activities each year. View New Hampshire Chapter website.
Our region comprises New York City, Southeastern New York, including Long Island, and Northeastern New Jersey.
