From Highway 101/Ventura Freeway, take Las Virgines Road in Agora towards the beach. Turn right on Mulhulland Road and park on the right side of the road a few hundred feet up road after making the turn onto Mulhulland. You will see a trail head for the Grasslands Trail which goes up Liberty Canyon.

Description

This is a relatively easy hike that takes you through the grasslands of Malibu Creek State Park, with pleasant views of oak studded rolling hills. The hike starts out on the Grasslands Trail, crosses over Liberty Creek, then connects with the Talepop trail which climbs a ridgeline with nice views of both Liberty and Malibu Canyon. There is very little shade on this hike, so bring a hat and lots of water in warm weather.
